DGBM Sponsorship Awards/Travel Scholarships 2023

The German Society for Biomaterials announces the following award for the year 2023:

DGBM Sponsorship Award

For an outstanding medical or scientific dissertation (endowment 1000 €) or prize for an outstanding diploma or master thesis (endowment 750 €) Deadline for application is 01.06.2023. All persons who are either members of the DGBM themselves or belong to a laboratory community of the DGBM and whose mentor is a DGBM member can apply. All papers whose completion (defence) is not before 01.01.2022 can be considered. The prize will be awarded on the occasion of the DGBM Annual Meeting 2023 in Jena. The awardees must be present in person.

For applications for the sponsorship award, please submit the following application documents: one-page curriculum vitae, current field of activity, thesis, letter of recommendation from supervisor.


Travel grants

to an international congress (endowment 500 € each)

Applications are open to young scientists (diploma students, doctoral students or assistants in further education) with an accepted conference paper, who are either members of the DGBM themselves or belong to a laboratory association of the DGBM. Deadline for application is 01.06.2023. The scholarship holders commit themselves to submit an approx. one-page conference report to be printed in the DGBM member newsletter.

For applications to the travel scholarship, please submit the following application documents: one-page CV, current field of activity, abstract and confirmation of abstract acceptance, letter of recommendation from supervisor.
